Using GetDocs

Terms of service

These terms explain the responsibilities that come with using GetDocs.

Effective date: To be confirmed before launch

1. The service

GetDocs helps businesses create checklists, share secure request links, collect documents and information, review submissions, and follow up on outstanding items. GetDocs is not accounting, legal, tax or compliance advice, and does not decide whether a document is correct or sufficient.

2. Business accounts

You must provide accurate account information, protect your password and secure links, and promptly remove access from team members who should no longer use the service. You are responsible for activity performed through your organisation account.

3. What you may collect

You may use GetDocs only for lawful business purposes. You are responsible for deciding what information is necessary, establishing a lawful basis for collecting it, giving required notices, restricting access, and responding to the people whose information you collect. Do not request information you are not entitled to collect.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use GetDocs to distribute malware, deceive or impersonate another person, infringe rights, evade security controls, send unlawful messages, or operate an arbitrary file-hosting service. We may restrict access when necessary to protect users, the service or the law.

A valid request link permits access to its specific client request without a client account. Send it only to the intended recipient, use additional identity checks where appropriate, and revoke or replace it if it is shared incorrectly.

6. Early access and availability

GetDocs is currently offered during early access and may change as the service is tested and improved. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Planned pricing or limits will be communicated before they apply; “free during early access” is not a promise that the service will remain free indefinitely.

7. Information and documents

You retain responsibility for the information submitted through your requests. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy notice and POPIA approach. Keep independent copies of documents your business must retain.

8. Ending use

You may stop using GetDocs. Before closing an account, export any information your business must keep. Retention, deletion and backup timelines may prevent immediate removal from every recovery copy.

9. South African law

These terms are intended to be governed by South African law. Nothing in them excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Contact

A public GetDocs contact must be configured before these terms are finalised.
